I read the reviews before buying. The common complaints were missing parts and poor instructions. I did not have any missing parts. All were there and clearly labeled. I did struggle with instructions which are adequate if you look at them (no reading, only diagrams) VERY carefully. Instructions could be improved by making diagrams larger or more callouts. The orientation of some parts was not always clear and parts looked identical but were not. IE: The had the same length and large holes on each end BUT the smaller holes for the roofing screws make some of them unique.
I live where is snows and then rains on the snow making the load VERY heavy. There is no way the structure will survive a winter at 4500' in California without extra bracing which I plan to do. I only weigh 165lbs and I wouldn't get on the roof for fear of it collapsing. Overall, worth the price.
Assembly is no joke. I'm extremely handy with lots of tools and experience. Assembling this is not a one-man job. You definitely want at least two adults if not three occasionally to complete the assembly. But the instructions are decent and if you follow them and have some common sense you can do this. It was more like 5 to 7 hours total time to assemble and install. But that was going slow and methodical. Nearly every screw hole lined up perfectly. Which is impressive considering the cost of this piece. Overall I would give this five out of five stars for value. You can't touch this kind of quality and appearance for this price. Once installed it's shockingly solid feeling. I expected something much more flimsy, but it is not at all. Immediately enhanced my backyard. Would do again 10 out of 10 times
